Humanities professor Rocco Di Pietro has announced a "Hiroshima Peace Concert." It is in memoriam of Columbus peace activists Margaret Stansbury and Samir Gharbo who have passed away this year. Gharbo once taught Chemistry at Columbus State.

The program includes new compositions by Di Pietro and Ramsey Sadaka, visiting composer from Vancouver, Canada, as well as works by Alan Hovhanhess, and Halim El-Dabh.

Performers include Devin Copfer of Chamber Brews String Quartet and Small Songs band, Erin Helgeson of the CODE Music Ensemble and Tower Duo, Justin T. Swain of Opera Columbus, Larry Marotta, Paul Stawser, Joel McPeak, David Nelson Tomasacci and Rocco Di Pietro will perform all 21 of Di Pietro's "Bewitched Child Songs"

The concert, to be directed by Di Pietro, will be Monday, July 30 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Columbus State WD Ballroom.
