Central Ohio residents will gather to commemorate the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This concert will feature original works performed by Columbus State Community College Music Professor Rocco Di Pietro and his students.

The program will include new compositions by Di Pietro and Ramsey Sadaka [a visiting composer from Vancouver, Canada] as well as works by Alan Hovhanhess and Halim El-Dabh.

Performers will include Devin Copfer of the Chamber Brews String Quartet and Small Songs band, Erin Helgeson of the CODE Music Ensemble and Tower Duo, Justin T. Swain of Opera Columbus, Larry Marotta, Paul Stawser, Joel McPeak, and David Nelson Tomasacci; Rocco Di Pietro will perform all 21 of Di Pietro’s “Bewitched Child Songs.”

Parking will be available in nearby lots and at meters along the street.
