Sunday, September 22, 3:30-6pm, beginning at Genoa Park, 303 W. Broad St.

This event will begin at 3:30pm at Genoa Park with dedications for two local leaders who have died during the past year, Amber Evans and Rubén Castilla Herrera.

The march will step off at 4pm from Genoa Park, 303 W. Broad St.; we will then march to Bicentennial Park via the Broad St. bridge, the Ohio Statehouse, and W. Main St. If you cannot march, please join us at Bicentennial Park.

The Interfaith March for Peace and Justice is a nonpartisan event meant to affirm the freedom of religion and to condemn all acts of discrimination directed towards people because of their religion, race, or place of origin.

On September 22, 2019, we will stand up against racism and religious intolerance with people around the world as we march together! The Columbus March will begin at Genoa Park at 4pm; attendees should arrive by 3:30pm. This community-building event will have four pillars: Repairing the Breach, Speaking Truth, Practicing the Way of Love, and Proclaiming the Truth, which will take place in Bicentennial Park near the Pavilion (permits and Columbus Police Department security have been arranged).

Our Guiding Principles

1.We believe that all people should be free to practice their faith without fear of discrimination, intimidation, or reprisal.

2.We believe that multiple religions can coexist peacefully and contribute to the common good.

3.We believe that equal justice and equal protection under the law are rights to which all people are entitled.

4.We believe that governments should protect those who are most vulnerable and never fail to seek justice for acts of violence perpetrated against minorities by those who claim superiority or dominance.

If you agree with these propositions and would like to make your voice heard, please consider joining us for this march.
