Sunday, March 11, 2-4pm, Martin de Porres Center, 2330 Airport Dr. [near Ohio Dominican University]

As the globe moves further in the direction of gender equality, women have assumed leadership roles in countless fields, including leaders of various faith traditions. While some religions have long embraced female leaders, others are slow to move in this direction. That is also true for places of worship in Central Ohio. What roles have women played in the past and what challenges are there in the future? Join us during Women’s History Month, and soon after International Women’s Day, for a discussion with several Central Ohio women on the roles they play in spreading their faith.

Participants:

• Sr. Patricia Twohill, O.P., Prioress of the Dominican Sisters of Peace

• Nicol Ghazi, Director of Muslim Family Services of Ohio

• Cathy Jackson, Buddhist chaplain, mentor, and instructor

• Jessica Shimberg, a newly-ordained rabbi and founding spiritual leader of the Little Minyan Kehillah

• Rebecca Tollefson, Director of the Ohio Council of Churches

• Ana C. Berríos, moderator
