• If you have been impacted by or are concerned about the President Trump’s executive order against refugees and Muslims, this meeting is for you.

• If you are an activist and seeking more people to help with your initiative, this meeting is for you.

• If you are an elected official of any district or city within the greater Columbus area and you would like to speak to your constituents, this meeting is for you.

Last week, President Trump signed more than a dozen executive orders. With a stroke of his pen, Trump forced the Keystone XL and Dakota Access Pipelines back into the conversation. He took action to defund sanctuary cities, which provide protection from deportation for undocumented immigrants and families. And, on Friday, he signed what is effectively a Muslim ban.

These past couple of weeks, in particular, MY Project USA has been a central point of discourse and action in the community. With executive orders in place now that are riddled and fashioned through Islamophobia, racism, spite and anger, we the people need to stand firm and stand as one.

At MY Project USA, we aim to unite our neighbors to address various social justice issues. We aim to create a safe space for all community members who want to get involved in addressing pressing issues. In this space, regular people would be able to join other neighbors, activists, organizations, elected officials, and other politicians to address various issues.

This month, we will be focusing on community organizing to protect our immigrant and refugee brothers and sisters.

At this meeting, you will meet with many activists, public officers, politicians, and organizations from across the greater Columbus area. It will be your chance to join hands with as many organizations and community members as you would like to.
