Tuesday, August 6, 6:30pm, Northern Lights Branch Library, 4093 Cleveland Ave.

Calling all activists! Do you want to help make it easier to register to vote in Ohio? Do you want to help make it harder to remove eligible voters from the rolls? Join All Voting is Local and the ACLU of Ohio for an activist training to learn how to make voter registration convenient and accessible to all.

At the training you will learn:

• The benefits of AVR [Automatic Voter Registration], particularly for historically disenfranchised groups such as people of color, low-income voters, and students.

• How to talk to elected officials and other community leaders about AVR.

• The latest updates on the bipartisan effort to bring AVR to Ohio.

Participants in the training will have future opportunities to advocate for AVR through letter writing, meetings with elected officials, speaking engagement, direct actions, and other grassroots advocacy tactics.

Light refreshments will be provided. Space is limited; please RSVP.
