Saturday, April 25, 9:30am-12:00 noon, this on-line event requires advance registration

UUJO [Unitarian Universalist Justice Ohio] will hold its Spring Gathering online, via Zoom, due to the COVID-19 virus. Together, we will explore a number of the issues addressed in the coming fall 2020 election and the need for voter advocacy, election protection, and support networks for Get-Out-The-Vote. We will discuss how UUJO and congregations with “UU The Vote” are working together with partners in the Ohio Voter Rights Coalition.

Presenters:

Susan Leslie [director of the UUA Office of Advocacy and Witness in Boston]: How “UU The Vote” and congregations can organize to register people

Rev. Dr. Susan Smith [director of Crazy Faith Ministries in Columbus and Communications Coordinator of Samuel Dewitt Proctor Conference]: Election Protection and how we can work together in Ohio to protect our right to vote in the face of suppressive realities that threaten our democracy

Maria Bruno [director of Ohio Votes in Columbus]: The nuts and bolts of voter registration in Ohio and past and present trends

Registration: actionnetwork.org/events/uujo-spring-gathering/

There is no charge for this event but we would appreciate it if you could make a small donation to UUJO to offset the costs of online software and wi-fi at: actionnetwork.org/fundraising/support-uujo.
