This month’s program: “The Culture and Politics of Pay and Gender”

Stephen David, Program Associate at the ACLU of Ohio, will discuss Equal Pay and recently-defeated attempts to pass legislation on this issue. He will document causes and contributing factors involved with gender-based pay disparities and past legislative efforts to promote pay equity. He will place this discussion in the context of a number of issues, policies and attitudes that have direct effects on women’s lives in and out of the workplace. In order to promote equitable economic opportunities, he will present work being done by the ACLU on this issue and potential action for participants.
