Tuesday, November 1, 6:30-8:30pm, Jennings Hall [Rm. 060], 1735 Neil Ave.

The Columbus Veg Community, in collaboration with the OSU student group Reach Out for Animal Rights [ROAR], will host Tobias Linné on the OSU campus [Jennings Hall, Rm. 060] for a free one-hour public lecture with free vegan food from Pierogi Mountain.

What are the links between feminism, anti-racist activism, and activism for animals? How can the animal rights movement learn from and collaborate with other social movements? What are the critical issues to try to create a more inclusive animal rights movement for the future? During this lecture, these themes will be discussed based in a critical animal studies approach to animal rights.

Tobias Linné is a Swedish animal activist with a PhD in Sociology. He is currently a visiting researcher at the OSU Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at The Ohio State University, where he teaches a course in Gender and Critical Animal Studies.

Sponsored by Columbus Veg Community and Reach Out for Animal Rights [ROAR].
