At a time where trans women of color are especially subject to police violence, receiving adequate trans-inclusive healthcare is a great hassle, and violence against trans people is at an all-time high, we anticipate having a discussion that gets to the heart of LGBT oppression. Taking place during the month of Pride, a month celebrated for the Stonewall Riots and the leadership of trans women such as Marsha P. Johnson, this topic is more timely than ever. We will be joined by three [now four] trans organizers/activists based in Columbus who are listed below.

• Chanel has a strong passion for creating safer places for trans women of color and educating individuals about the importance of inclusivity. Chanel’s ultimate goal is to open a non-profit center that assists homeless trans, gender-non-conforming, and non-binary youth of color.

• Kelli uses she/her/hers pronouns and is an organizer with the ISO. She will be attending Penn State to pursue a Ph.D. in Sociology; she finds happiness in fighting for trans liberation, cuddling, and playing the drums.

• Elijah uses they/them/their pronouns and identifies as non-binary. They are a social worker passionate about trans liberation. Health, and education. In their free time, they like to talk about critical trans polities while surrounded by adorable dogs.

• In addition to Kelli, Eli, and Chanel, we welcome a last-minute addition to our panel: Wriply, who is one of the #BlackPride4 wrongly arrested last weekend at Pride.
