Tuesday, April 10 10am-4pm, The Columbus Athenaeum, 32 N. Fourth St.; and Ohio Statehouse

Freedom of Choice Ohio will hold our annual Advocacy Day on April 10, 2018. This year, we will focus on bringing our personal stories to the Ohio Statehouse to help legislators understand how their agenda that attacks reproductive healthcare hurts Ohioans and their families. Since taking office in 2011, the Kasich administration has systematically passed bill after bill limiting access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare and abortion services in our state. During Kasich’s time as governor, half of Ohio’s abortion clinics have closed, leaving many without access to the services they need.

The Freedom of Choice Ohio coalition is: AAUW, ACLU Ohio, NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio, New Voices for Reproductive Justice, NCJW [Columbus and Cleveland Sections], Ohio League of Women Voters, Ohio NOW, Ohio Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio, Preterm, URGE, and Women Have Options Ohio.

We will provide you with all the information you will need to effectively share stories and advocate with elected officials. Following the training, participants will engage with their legislators to show the impact that the dangerous anti-abortion and reproductive healthcare agenda has on their constituents.

A limited number of scholarships may be available; please email us at <communications@prochoiceohio.org> for info.
