The Power of Plants: Promoting Health Justice & Humanitarian Aid Through Herbalism.

Do you have chronic health issues, but don’t know where to turn? Has western medicine left you hurting and unsure of how to get the help that you need? Far too often money is a limiting factor in receiving the services or medicine needed to treat the symptoms. With healthcare costs at an all-time high, the newly formed Herbalists Without Borders (HWB) Chapter for Central Ohio aims to address these very issues through service and community engagement.

A sliding-scale clinic event will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. to provide alternative options for Columbus residents and families in need. No one turned away for lack of funds. The event will take place in Clintonville at Preserve on Calumet, located at 3007 Calumet St, Columbus, OH. 43202. Practitioners providing services during the event are: Lily Kunning,  Herbalist | Kelly Katherine, Massage Therapist (LMT). Practitioners are there for assessment and on-site treatments and referrals.

This event will be the first of many, centered around empowering individuals in the community by giving them access to herbal medicine and holistic healing tools. The Central Ohio HWB Chapter plans to host their free clinic events seasonally. They are currently seeking practitioners for future events, who are willing to donate their time & services for a good cause.

“Ohio has so many un-and-underinsured people. Add veterans into the mix and there is a definite need,” says Lily Kunning, the herbalist who founded the central Ohio chapter.
