Don’t believe in God? You are not alone! Join the Humanist Community of Central Ohio [HCCO], a community that values people, emphasizes reason, and focuses on this world.

This will be a virtual meeting; the Zoom event will begin at 11:30am or earlier with music and a splash screen; the program will begin at 12noon.

Dr. Diana Spade is a retired Board-Certified Anesthesiologist. After practicing Anesthesia for 27 years in Southern Missouri, she relocated to Oregon in 2009. From 2011 to 2017, she was a volunteer for Compassion and Choices of Oregon, receiving their Volunteer of the Year award in 2015. She recently moved to Ohio and will share her experiences as both a physician educator and a patient advocate for those using Oregon’s Death with Dignity Law (the first in the U.S.).

Her presentation will also include how the law is used, who can use it, who regulates it, impediments to its use, and how many other states have legalized it as well as some information on the international use of aid in dying.
