People marching for climate change in a park

December 12, 2015 – 2pm

Various locations

Join us to show the world that Ohio wants climate justice, a transition to 100% renewable energy and a sustainable future. The ad hoc Central Ohio Climate Action Coalition, along with 350.org, are planning a number of neighborhood-based demonstrations (minimal driving required), to take place at various intersections across central Ohio. The goal is to get 6 or more people at each intersection to hold posters related to the Paris climate talks, and engage the public to draw attention to the need for meaningful climate action. We are looking for volunteer "captains" to recruit participants and lead the efforts at each intersection. Mac Crawford will serve as captain for Clintonville (North Broadway and High St.), Chuck Lynd will do the same in Delaware (Sandusky and Williams St), and Carolyn Harding will be organizing for Bexley (Main St. and Drexel Ave). Other demonstrations could take place in Grandview, the Short North, Upper Arlington, Worthington, Reynoldsburg and anywhere else there is interest. Questions? Contact Chuck,Lynd@gmail.com or call 614-354-6172. Use the Ticket URL to sign up directly on the 350.org website. Post your plans here on Facebook so others will see where their nearest demonstration opportunity will be!
