SB 145 Committee Crowd Build #StopTheBans
Tuesday, February 13, 2018, 1:30 – 3:30 PM
The Ohio House Criminal Justice Committee will hold the third hearing for opponent testimony for Senate Bill 145, a bill to ban the most common method of second-trimester abortion, dilation, and evacuation (D&E).  Senate Bill 145 is another abortion ban to limit safe, legal abortion in the state of Ohio. Lawmakers hostile to abortion are forcing themselves in the private decision between a patient and doctor – if passed Senate Bill 145 will mark the 21st restriction under Kasich’s anti-reproductive health care administration and move one step closer to eliminate abortion access in the state of Ohio.  This ban has already been previously struck down in the United States Supreme Court and if passed will likely be struck down again. This bill does nothing to improve health care for Ohioans but part of a larger campaign to attack abortion access. So wear your repro swag and join us in solidarity to show them we oppose the attacks on repro rights! #STOPTHEBANS.  If you haven't already please sign our online petition against these bans & restrictions here: http://bit.ly/2ncRvEa.  Questions or concerns? Please contact Regional Field Manager, Sarah Inskeep, at 614-390-4164.  Location:  Ohio Statehouse, 1 Capitol Square, Hearing room 114, Columbus 43215.  Facebook.
