The COWC has a bold vision for 2018 that includes: placing immigrant workers in good jobs, stopping deportations, advancing a wage theft ordinance, and much more. If you share our vision for social justice in Columbus, we would love for you to join one of our three working groups.

·         The Immigrant Justice Committee (IJC) advances immigrant rights values, and is involved in providing trainings, creating deportation defense campaigns, and supporting coalition building throughout Ohio.

·         The Worker Justice Committee (WJC) advances worker rights values, and is involved in building a relationship with the labor movement, processing wage theft cases, connecting immigrants and non-unionized workers to fair jobs, and more.

·         The Governance and Development Committee (GDC) provides responsible and transparent internal governance, manages online and offline media, membership management, the budget, and more. The GDC is a great way to get involved if you are a creative professional (web design, etc.), or need the flexibility of volunteering from home on small, online tasks.

Each of these committees are meeting for the first time in January.  For time and location of the meetings, please RSVP to centralohioworkercenter@gmail.com.
We have made great strides in the past few years.  Please consider an end of the year donation to COWC to help continue our work for worker and immigrant justice in Columbus!  Here is the link to our donation site.   https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/page/central-ohio-workers-center-inc--1
