Extreme politicians are using Ohioans’ health care as a political pawn. To patients, providers, and our supporters, abortion access is not a game. We will continue to push forward and fight to ensure patients can access the health care they need and providers can deliver care without fear of punishment.

Governor Kasich vetoed the six-week abortion ban, just to sign Senate Bill 145, the abortion method ban into law. This bill will ban the safest, most common second-trimester abortion procedure in Ohio.

Governor John Kasich’s pattern of smoke and mirrors strategy to appear moderate on abortion is not fooling anyone. We see him for who he is – an extreme politician who has signed more restrictions to reproductive rights and abortion access than any previous administration. This bill marks the 21st restriction that he has signed into law.

The Ohio General Assembly is prepared to override Governor Kasich’s veto of the six-week abortion ban on Thursday December 27, making this dangerous abortion ban law. Contact your state lawmakers and demand they stop any attempt to override Governor Kasich’s veto!

Suzanne, now is the time to show up! Join the Freedom of Choice Ohio Coalition on Thursday, December 27 before session to send a clear message to anti-abortion politicians like Governor Kasich and members of the Ohio General Assembly: Abortion bans are dangerous and unacceptable!
