Details about the event and Rev. Sullivan

Sunday, October 13, 2019, 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Following a morning of Journey of Hope speakers speaking in communities of faith throughout Central Ohio, the community is invited to gather to pray and hear more inspiring "Voices of Experience" on the death penalty. Rev. Dr. Jack Sullivan Jr. will present the keynote address, sending Journey of Hope speakers off for a week of events throughout the State of Ohio.  The Ohio Journey of Hope is led by murder victim family members sharing their stories of healing, reconciliation, forgiveness and how the death penalty does not serve the needs of homicide survivors. The Ohio Journey offers "voices of experience" who can put a real face on the death penalty because they have lived some aspect of it. Speakers include murder victim family members, the families of the executed and those on death row, exonerated death row survivors, legal experts, and even retired corrections officials who have carried out executions and who now oppose the death penalty. Schools, faith communities and civic groups wishing to host a Journey of Hope speaker and foster this conversation locally are invited to make a request via the speaker request form at https://www.journeyofhope.org/ohio-journey/.  The Ohio Journey is presented in partnership with the Ohio Council of Churches, the Catholic Conference of Ohio, Faith in Public Life - Ohio, Ohioans to Stop Executions and others. Details, Tickets/Registration and confirmed public events will be regularly updated at https://www.journeyofhope.org/ohio-journey/.  Location:  Mount Herman Missionary Baptist Church, 2283 Sunbury Road, Columbus 43219.  Facebook.
