Friday, February 2, 2018, 7:00 – 9:00 PM.   Bill Cohen’s Special Pre-Valentine Concert:  Love Songs through the Decades.  Want Something Different for Your Valentine?
Then accept this invitation to come to our special pre-Valentine concert: Love Songs through the Decades.  With guitar and piano, I’ll be singing favorites made famous by John Denver, the Everly Brothers, Sam Cooke, Bette Midler, James Taylor, Kris Kristofferson, the Eagles, Patti Page, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, Bing Crosby, and others.

Ann Fisher will be on hand to add some romantic flute accompaniment on several songs.  Special musical sparkle will come from Brian Szuch on lead guitar.  And David Maywhoor will help us keep the beat with his drumming.  Plus, the all-girl trio, the Harmonettes, will add some tight vocal back-ups on other tunes.  While the songs will reflect the ecstasy, warmth, heartache, and pain that love can bring, there will be a lighter side too, as you’re challenged with trivia questions about famous and infamous couples and love songs throughout the decades.   Refreshments will be served, and a couple special surprises are also being planned.  A $10 donation per person is being requested at the door, with proceeds going to help produce the upcoming Central Ohio Folk Festival.  This is the 8th year for this Valentine concert, and we’ve always had a great time.  For more information, call me at (614) 263-3851 or billcohen@columbus.rr.com.  Location:  Columbus Mennonite Church at 35 E. Oakland Park, zip 43214.
