Monday, August 14, 7pm, Grandview Theater & Drafthouse, 1247 Grandview Ave.

The Columbus Area Region of SPAN [Single Payer Action Network] Ohio will host the showing of the recently-released, 50-minute documentary, “Big Pharma Market Failure,” at the Grandview Theater & Drafthouse, 1247 Grandview Ave. This 1926 single-screen theater sells beer as well as pizza, subs, and pastries from local restaurants. The movie is free and all are welcome; a discussion will follow. Come early and enjoy food and drink before the show; stay after the show for discussion, food, and drink.

“Big Pharma Market Failure” is the second health care financing exposé produced by Richard Master, the owner and CEO of MCS Industries. It takes a hard look at out-of-control drug prices and what we can do about it. Richard Master understands growing health care costs from a business perspective and explains how this alone could put his and other companies out of business.

A discussion, led by Latonya Thurman and William Booth of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), will follow. AHF circulated petitions in Ohio and was able to put the Ohio Drug Price Relief Act on the Ohio ballot this November.

Sponsored by SPAN [Single Payer Action Network] Ohio, Central Ohio Region.
