Saturday, February 25, 7pm, Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave.

Daniel Dye and the Miller Road Band is the headliner for the next monthly coffeehouse concert, sponsored by the Columbus Folk Music Society on Saturday, February 25, 7pm, at the Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave.

Daniel and family began making Americana Roots music together after he returned home to Ohio after a number of years backpacking across the world. His experiences, in combination with the Millers’ classical violin, viola, and cello training, shine through in lyrics and musical stylings that are uniquely their own.

While Daniel and company take the stage just after 8pm, there’s actually a whole night of music and fun to be had.

Starting at 6pm, there will be an informal folk music jam, followed by an open mic segment for three different folk acts at 7pm.

Finally, at 7:45pm, the audience will be invited to join in a brief folk music sing-along as a reminder of what it is that is at the heart of folk music: music for the people made by the people.

A donation of $15 at the door is suggested; $10 for Columbus Folk Music Society members.
