Fast forward from the Supreme Court’s ruling in Roe v. Wade (which legalized abortion in the U.S.) . . . through countless legal challenges that clarified and cemented a pregnant person’s right to an abortion . . . . and meet us today.

The Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health (2022) reversed the Federal protections for abortion outlined in Roe v. Wade.

Now, states across the country are launching attacks on healthcare services like abortion and other personal, private freedoms.

Join Rev. Dr. Chris Davies for a panel about direct support for people seeking abortions before “Roe” and today.

The Clergy Consultation Service was a nationwide network helping people access safe abortion services and resources before it was legal.

Learn about the activism and organizing of this network from D.A. Dirks and Patricia Relf, authors of To Offer Compassion: A History of the Clergy Consultation Service On Abortion.

We’ll hear the testimony of Rev. Donna Schaper and learn about her work along the way.

Then, activist-organizers will share how you can support people seeking abortions in your community today. We’ll hear from:

• Dr. Sherry Warren, Minister for Gender Justice for the United Church of Christ
