Republicans in Congress, with the support of President Trump, are working to “repeal and replace” the Affordable Care Act (ACA) with their American Health Care Act (AHCA). Their plan is devastating: 24 million Americans would lose their health insurance, allowing discrimination based on pre-existing conditions, and punishing people who can’t maintain continuous coverage.

But the ACA is also flawed, leaving over 28 million Americans uninsured as of 2017 and providing subpar coverage with prices too high for many individuals. Many healthcare advocates and politicians, including Senator Bernie Sanders, support covering all Americans under Medicare, creating a single-payer system.

Join us to learn more about the state of healthcare in the United States and what a “Medicare for All” system would mean for Americans.
