Saturday, November 20, 8-9:45pm, Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave.

For five decades, John Prine churned out dozens of songs that sparked laughter, empathy, and tears. And November 20, a year after his death, his legacy will be revived with a special live concert.

The Columbus Folk Music Society is sponsoring the tribute by four outstanding local musicians: Brian Szuch, Renilda Marshall, Ed Tatum, and Mike Hale. They share a special love for Prine’s Americana-style, story-telling songs about down-and-outers and just plain everyday people.

The concert begins at 8pm on Saturday, November 20 at the Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Avenue. But come earlier at 7pm, so you can enjoy three other acts during our “open mic” segment, plus a lively audience sing-along.

Note: due to capacity limits linked to COVID-19, pre-registration is required at eventbrite.com. The link shortcut is bit.ly/JohnPrine-CFMS.
