Jeff Halper is an American-Israeli anthropologist, a peace and human rights activist, co-founder of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions, 2006 Nobel Peace Prize nominee, author and lecturer.

About his recent book, War Against the People, Stephen Zunes says: “This profoundly important and well-researched study serves as a reminder that U.S.-backed Israeli militarism and its devastating humanitarian impact is neither unique nor can it be seen in isolation.”

Halper convincingly argues that this militarism is part of an even more disturbing global phenomenon that goes well beyond Israel and threatens the lives and civil liberties not just of Palestinians but of people around the world.
