Spring is here and it’s a new year, so it’s time to level up on our art collections by creating a fresh Pop Art themed painting to suit any space and personality. Bring your “bestie” or meet a new friend, while creating the perfect wall accessory for your home office or apartment. This socially-distanced activity is for anyone who wishes to explore a few simple design techniques and have some fun with pure imagination. No previous art experience is required. Join us and you’ll be on your way to a new creative you!

Activity:

Create an 8"x10" abstract painting using various materials. Learn how to construct high-style designs using simple tools and media.

Materials included:

• 8"x10" canvas on board

• Acrylic paints and disposable brushes, small paper cups

• Decorative papers, stickers

• Rulers, mechanical pencil, permanent marker, scissors, tacky glue

Meet the instructor!

Justin Campbell is a fashion designer and painter living and working in the Franklinton Arts District. Proud to be an Akron, Ohio native, he received his education in Interior Design, Arts Administration, and Textiles from The University of Akron. Since then, he has enjoyed a plethora of creative endeavors, such as illustrating architectural renderings and books, designing clothing, painting murals, gallery work, and planning special events.
