On Monday, May 6, OSU Professor Emeritus Paul A. Beck will talk about “Threats to Democracy” in the Friends Theater of the Upper Arlington Public Library, 2800 Tremont Rd. The presentation will begin promptly at 6:15pm (the doors will open at 6pm); light refreshments will be served.

The U.S. faces serious threats to its democracy, none more imminent than from the possible re-election of Donald Trump. This presentation will focus on the most serious of these threats — to the electoral process, governance and policy making, political discourse, and the party system. This presentation will identify the causes of the present situation and how Trump and his campaign have worsened.
