Thursday, August 13, 7-8pm, this event will be occurring via Zoom
Professor Michel Coconis will present high points of the struggle for women’s right to vote. Following a short review of the history of U.S. women’s suffrage, she will consider the current struggle to again amend the U.S. Constitution. Move to Amend’s proposed “We the People” amendment seeks to abolish Supreme Court-sanctioned personhood rights for corporations to ensure that actual humans, regardless of gender, may fully enjoy their constitutional rights.
This session will also provide resources on voter outreach, registering voters, and helping people vote in this year’s general election on or before November 3, 2020!
Please join other Ohioans for a brief romp through women’s suffrage history to underscore why elections mattered in the past and why they matter today as growing numbers of Americans join the struggle to end corporate personhood.
