Train to be a Wage Theft Intake volunteer and to help us fight against wage theft and for the rights of all workers in Central Ohio!

One recent study found that Ohio ranks second among the ten largest states for minimum wage violations, and estimates that overall, Ohio workers collectively lose $600 million each year in shorted paychecks due to wage theft.

Join fellow residents who are fighting back, empowering workers, and holding employers accountable for the crime of wage theft.

Wage Theft Intake Volunteers play a vital role in our community. Intake Volunteers meet with wage theft victims, collect information about unlawful employer practices, and refer workers to attorneys, government agencies, and others who can provide assistance.

This training session will provide you with an overview of the law, information about the severity of the problem of wage theft, and the skills that you will need to serve as a COWC Wage Theft Intake Volunteer. Our ability to fight against wage theft depends upon people like you playing an active role in the process.
