Peggy Gish recently returned from a three month peace mission in northern Nigeria as part of a volunteer crisis team. She went there to work with and assist Nigerian people who have fled their homes and villages in the northeast corner of Nigeria due to the violence of Boko Haram and are now in displacement camps in central Nigeria. Her work was to include assisting in peace-building and trauma-healing workshops, being present with and reporting the stories of the displaced people, and helping with dispensing relief supplies. Peggy worked under the supervision of the Nigerian Brethren Church.
