The beneficiaries for the inaugural Concert for a Cause will be Edith Espinal (in sanctuary at the Columbus Mennonite Church) and Miriam Vargas (in sanctuary at the First English Lutheran Church) through the Columbus Sanctuary Collective (Colectivo Santuario de Columbus), a collective of individuals organizing in active support of immigrants and refugees.

Tony Arata, a Nashville Hall of Fame Songwriter who wrote “The Dance” for Garth Brooks, will be joined by award-winning Columbus-based songwriters Eric Gnezda and Keith Larsen for the inaugural Concert for a Cause. This concert will also include a guest appearance by Parker MacDonell, a songwriter whose latest CD, “Miracle on Broad Street,” had benefited homeless people in Columbus.

Concerts for a Cause are held quarterly at North Congregational UCC.
