Wednesday, July 8, 6-8pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

This Health and Safety Training will focus on how to prepare for a protest, proper gear to carry, protecting oneself and others from chemical weapons, police crowd control tactics, and what to do for proper after care. Have a notepad ready and be prepared to set aside at least two hours of your time for the training.

Central Ohio Street Medic Collective [COSMC] is a collective of street medics who volunteer at protests and actions to care for protesters at demonstrations against racism, injustice, and inequality. Street medics and street medic training focuses on protest-related injuries and illnesses like pepper spray, blunt force trauma injuries, heat stroke, etc.

Facilitators

• Dave Ch is a founding member of COSMC and has several years of experience as a street medic and as a certified mental health care worker.

• Tron has been working and organizing with various groups around police accountability and justice movements in Columbus and is a founding member of COSMC.
