Saturday, May 11, 11:30am-2:30pm, Club Level CoWorking, 35 E. Gay St., Ste. 260
Don’t believe in God? You are not alone! Join the Humanist Community of Central Ohio [HCCO], a community that values people, emphasizes reason, and focuses on this world.
This month’s program: “Secular Parenting,” featuring a panel of parents from the HCCO community.
As individuals who do not align ourselves with established religious traditions [that often provide new parents with a “blueprint” for parenting according to their values], it can feel like being a good parent without those things means that you have to start from scratch. But the beauty of community is that we can share our collective knowledge and resources with each other in an effort to help each other be the best parents that we be.
Join us at 11:30am for free fruit, bagels, pastries, and coffee in the meeting room; the formal program will begin at 12noon.
There are 2-hour and 3-hour parking meters for 75 cents an hour on Gay St., Third St., Long St., and Spring St. Note: don’t use the green parking meters on Gay St. They are $1 for only a half-hour. There is also a parking lot at the northwest corner of N. Third St. and E. Long St. for $5.
Note: This meeting location is not accessible for wheelchair users or for others who have limited mobility. There are three steps up from the sidewalk to the entrance door and there are four steps up from the entrance door to the lobby.
