Saturday, June 10, 11:30am-2pm, 1550 Old Henderson Rd., Ste. W200 [Secular Student Alliance office]

This month’s program: “Scientific Discoveries about Sex, Gender, and Sexuality”

We will explore what happens in the body and the brain, from conception to maturity, related to sex, gender, and sexual identities. Research is finding biological events and chemical influences that shape gender differentiation even post-conception and into old age.

Robert Ridgard spent most of his working life in the fields of analytical instrumentation and biomedical management with interludes of teaching in corporate settings. He has presented many times at his Unitarian Universalist [U.U.] Fellowship and at other U.U. churches in Florida. His association with Humanism led him to become a Humanist Celebrant and to present opening invocations at city council meetings in Central Florida. Robert reads broadly in areas such as biology, neurology, physics, and other sciences; as well as philosophy and justice. His wife Rita develops visual displays to accompany his talks and creates applauded video shows with songs or other musical backgrounds.

Join us at 11:30am for pizza; the meeting begins at 12noon.

Please use the west entrance that is on the side of the building. The meeting room for this event is on the second floor; this building has no elevator.
