This month’s program: “Nuclear Power in Ohio and Beyond”

Pat Marida will talk about nuclear facilities in Ohio and in the region and will give an overview of the challenges of dealing with radioactive waste.

Pat Marida is currently the Chair of the Ohio Sierra Club Nuclear Free Committee, a member of the Ohio Sierra Club Executive Committee, and a member of the national Sierra Club’s Nuclear Free Campaign Core Team. She was previously the Chair of the Central Ohio Sierra Club for nine years and edited their newsletter for eleven years. During the 1980s, Pat worked in the office of the Ohio Nuclear Weapons Freeze Campaign.
