Saturday, January 4, 9am, Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center, 4340 Tamarack Blvd.

Please join us in protesting at the Franklin County Dog Shelter [FCDS] on January 4 at 9am.

We all fight daily for the unfortunate dogs that end up on the “Euth List” at FCDS. It is time to get compassionate management and employees in the shelter to start fighting to save them as well.

This is a dog shelter, a place for the dogs to safely be sheltered until a permanent or foster home is found, not a place to slaughter dogs that are scared and can be treated or trained. It’s time for this multi-million-dollar facility to implement a foster program and to hire a trained behavioralist to work with these dogs. We all know that they can afford it.

We have to be the voice for these dogs. We cannot continue to let them sit back and run the show at the slaughterhouse that is the Franklin County Dog Shelter.

Come on, rescuers and advocates. Now is the time to stand up and to speak up for the dogs in Franklin County!
