Friday, August 21, 9am-12noon, beginning at McPerson Commons [also known as “Arch Park”], south of the intersection of John McConnell Blvd. and Nationwide Blvd.; and proceeding to a public area near the Columbus Convection Center, 400 N. High St.
“Americans for Prosperity,” a “front group” funded by the billionaire Koch Brothers, will be holding their “Defending the American Dream Summit” at the Columbus Convention Center, 400 N. High St., August 21-22.
The Koch Brothers are bringing a pack of politicians to raise money for their anti-worker extremist agenda that includes “Right to Work” [which is wrong].
“Right to Work” is wrong; don’t trust it. It’s wrong for the middle class, wrong for Ohio, and wrong for all of us.
We will assemble between 9am and 9:30am at McFerson Commons [also known as “Arch Park”] in the Arena District of downtown Columbus. Brief comments and instructions will be provided, then, at 10am, we will march three blocks to the Columbus Convention Center. While on the public space on the west side of the Convention Center, we will hold a short speaking program and rally to “Defend the American Dream.”
Sponsored by Ohio AFL-CIO.
