Monday, October 12, 5:30pm, Columbus City Hall, 90 W. Broad St.

Please join us for a peaceful Anti-Colonialism rally on Columbus Day, Monday, October 12th at 5:30pm in front of the Columbus statue that stands in front of City Hall. This will also be a #NativeLivesMatter and #IdleNoMore rally.

Let us make our voices heard. The public needs to know the reality of Christopher Columbus and the continuing effects of colonialism. He was a perpetrator of mass genocide, slavery, and other terrible acts. This day and the symbolism that is found all over our capital city affects us all.

This event will honor our ancestors and our siblings who are currently subjected to ongoing systemic violence through institutionalized racism and colonialism. There is too much blood being spilled in this world and we must take a stand together. American Indians are most likely to be killed by the police. We stand in solidarity with all People of Color, LGBTQ, and all other peoples that are targets of racism and police brutality.

We will then be joining a candlelight vigil that will be held on OSU’s campus at 7pm.
