Join the Economic Empowerment and Resistance Task Force at the new HUB [Horizontal Urban Business] Community Development Center, 1336 E. Main St., for a screening of “Harvest of Empire: A History of Latinos in America.”

This film, based on the book by Juan González, documents covert actions by the U.S. to install dictatorships in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and El Salvador. Also discussed are the wars fought for United States’ territorial expansion into Puerto Rico, Cuba and over half of Mexico.
