As part of The Center for the Study of Religion at The Ohio State University’s “Symposium on Religion and Sexuality Post-Obergefell” [to be held 10-21-2016], please join us for a screening of Daniel Karslake’s 2007 documentary, “For the Bible Tells Me So.”

This film examines the experiences of five Christian families as they grapple with the interaction between their faith and their own gay children. The documentary features interviews with former House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt, Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson, Bishop Desmond Tutu, Harvard’s Peter Gomes, Orthodox Rabbi Steve Greenberg, and Reverend Jimmy Creech.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion introduced and moderated by Professor Cynthia Burack (Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies); and including Seth Josephson (Comparative Studies), Kati Fitzgerald (Comparative Studies), and Anthony Tenney (Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies).
