Thursday, January 12, 9:30-11am, Ohio Statehouse; followed by visits to Ohio legislators who are in leadership positions

Executions are scheduled to resume in Ohio on February 15, 2017. While legal challenges may further delay execution dates, Ohioans to Stop Executions [OTSE] will be gathering at the Statehouse on January 12 to show our opposition to the resumption and continued use of the death penalty in Ohio.

This short program will feature updates from OTSE and partners on the current state of the death penalty in Ohio, perspectives from victims’ family members, and brief prayers and remarks from representatives of several faith groups.

Following the program, participants are asked to join us in meeting with key legislators in the Ohio House and Senate to discuss anticipated death penalty legislation in 2017.

Please note: backpacks are not allowed in the Ohio Statehouse.
