Saturday, March 4, 12noon-3pm, Goodale Park, 120 W. Goodale St.; Columbus Convention Center, 400 N. High St.; Goodale Park. 120 W. Goodale St.

This will be a peaceful and lawful demonstration of activists and citizens who desire to raise up the racial, social, ecological, and economic injustice and inequalities that plague Columbus. We are determined to educate and strengthen each other by this fellowship.

We want a wide variety of issues represented, so bring your bodies and bring some creative signs. Let the city know where our priorities ought to be — meeting the needs of the citizens in positive ways and through productive activism. No more brutality, no more bigotry, no more ignoring our issues.

We intend to have a short rally at Goodale Park prior to marching to the Convention Center. Our goal is to display for the media attending the Arnold Classic that the wonderful City of Columbus has a less glamorous side that still needs attention. We will walk peacefully and orderly, but if you have drums, tambourines, and megaphones you’re encouraged to bring them. Let’s make some political noise and get our issues noticed!

The Franklin County Green Party wholeheartedly believes that we are powerful through a combination of community activism and political activity. We’re proud to sponsor this march and provide a platform for voices that must be heard so that this city can continue to move forward. It is only through compassionate governance that we can address the needs of all members of society. We also believe in non-violence so please understand and respect that we want this to be a peaceful and lawful exercise of our right to free speech and our desire for everyone to remain safe. We are in this city together, so let’s take care of each other.

Sponsored by Franklin County Green Party.
