The 2nd Columbus Unity Meeting - Immigrants in Trumpland
Hosted by MY Project USA
March 10 7-9pm
5181 Northwest Pkwy, Hilliard, OH 43026
TIRED & FRUSTRATED IN THE TRUMPLAND
LOOKING FOR WAYS TO PROTECT AND EMPOWER REFUGEES, IMMIGRANTS, SCHOOLS, ENVIRONMENT, ... AMERICA
This meeting is for you.
If you have been impacted by or are concerned about the President Trump's executive order against refugees and Muslims, this meeting is for you.
If you want to do something about it, this meeting is for you.
If you are an activist and seeking more people to help with your initiative, this meeting is for you.
If you are an elected official of any district or city within the greater Columbus area and you would like to speak to your constituents, this meeting is for you.
This meeting is for activists, organizations, community members and elected officials to come and meet with others that are also working on various causes.
At our last Columbus Unity meeting, we focused on community organizing to protect our immigrant and refugee brothers and sisters. It was a great event. We had Councilmembers of Columbus and Hilliard and 13 organizations present. We had about 100 activists and non-Muslim community members in the room. They came to join hands with the Muslim, refugee and immigrant communities. It was an heart warming and inspiring experience for us, the organizers.
A few committees have been made to organize town hall meetings and civic engagement trainings. These committes will share their progress in the next meeting.
We wil hear from more elected officials and organizations. A more specific agenda will be posted as we approach the dates.
Ideas are welcome here.
