Tuesday, October 31, 12-1pm, outside of U.S. Senator Rob Portman’s Columbus office, 37 W. Broad St., Ste. 300

Join us to send a clear message to Congress that Ohioans reject the Republican tax reform plan.

#NotOnePenny in tax cuts for millionaires, billionaires, and wealthy corporations at the expense of Ohio’s working families!

No Taxation Legislation Without Representation.

Portman intends to vote on the biggest tax reform plan in many years without receiving input from constituents. That’s not how democracy works. Our country was founded on the principle of “no taxation without representation”; the same should apply when the government is considering a plan that would radically cut taxes for the super-wealthy at the expense of everyone else and would cut vital programs and services, for example, Medicaid, Medicare, and infrastructure. If Portman believes that this is the best path forward for our country, then he needs to return to Ohio and tell his constituents why that is so in a public open forum — i.e. a real town hall.
