Students and allies for farmworker justice from across the Midwest are raising funds to mobilize to NYC for the Coalition of Immokalee WorkersTime's Up Wendy's March in NYC! concluding their five-day Freedom Fast!

Join us for this dinner and silent auction to help us get to New York City to support the historic 5-day Freedom Fast outside the office of Nelson Peltz, Wendy’s Board Chairman and major investor. 

Dinner will be available at a sliding scale, suggested donation of $10/person. Art and other items will be for sale through a silent auction. More information about the Freedom Fast:
The decision to fast came out of conversations about how Wendy's leadership, namely Peltz, rely on the silence of farmworkers in their supply chain to continue business as usual. Twenty years after the 30-day hunger strike during the Taco Bell Boycott, the CIW will be making sure that Peltz cannot ignore the voices of farmworkers and thousands of consumers in demanding an end to sexual violence and slavery in the fields!

If you've been wondering how to seriously take action to support the movement to end sexual harassment and assault in the workplace, here is a clear way: show up for farmworker women and men who have fought tirelessly to achieve the elimination of sexual violence and other human rights abuses in the fields.
