Thursday, October 4, 5-7:30pm, Greater Columbus Convention Center [Short North Ballroom], 400 N. High St.

YWCA Columbus is proud to present its first-ever evening fundraiser, “Activists and Agitators,” a night dedicated to uniting the Columbus community and inspiring attendees to pursue greater social change than anyone could achieve alone.

Join us on October 4 to hear real stories from local activists and nationally-recognized Cleo Wade, an artist, a poet, and the author of the best-selling “Heart Talk: Poetic Wisdom for a Better Life.” Cleo will share her story of becoming an activist and agitator while preaching love, acceptance, justice, peace, and equity for all.

Named one of America’s 50 Most Influential Women by Marie Claire and dubbed the “Millennial Oprah” by New York Magazine, Cleo is a fierce advocate for love and acceptance in a time when both seem to be in short supply. Cleo’s work speaks to the importance of self-care, beloved community-building, and social justice; she embodies everything that YWCA Columbus represents.
