Celebrate a season of song with Illuminati, CGMC’s sacred ensemble. From hymn arrangements to spirituals, traditional to contemporary settings, come witness the powerful musical message that reaches many Central Ohio faith communities throughout the year.

The Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC) was founded in January 1990 as the dream of five individuals: Doug Althauser, Kevin Cary, Bob Germain, Phil Martin, and Jack Wisniewski. After months of discussion and research, these five men incorporated the Chorus and began rehearsals in September of that year. The debut concert took place on December 9, 1990 at the Thurber Theatre on the OSU campus; fifty-one men had sung in that first concert.
