Saturday, November 16, 10am-2pm, Lineage Brewing, 2971 N. High St.
Please join us for the Columbus edition of Cranksgiving, a food drive on two wheels! Started in 1999 in New York City, Cranksgiving is a celebration of cycling and charity that now has events around the globe.
How does it work? Simple. Cranksgiving is a free event for anyone with a bike and a desire to do good. Show up on two wheels, and we’ll hand you a list of needed items and a map of stores. Roll out, visit as many stores as you like, buy as little or as much as you want, haul it all by bike, and then enjoy some post-ride socializing at our ride start/finish, Lineage Brewing.
All items purchased by participants will be donated to the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center. The more stores you visit and the more you haul, the better chance you’ll have of winning an award or raffle prize!
Though the event is free, you will need to RSVP through EventBrite in order to receive the necessary pre-ride information.
Please note that Cranksgiving aims to promote cycling as a mode of transit and to make sure that cyclists are well thought of in the community. Please be courteous when riding and follow the rules of the road.
There is no parking for Cranksgiving participants at Lineage. Please follow this page for updates on parking locations. Also, please note that you should arrive no earlier than 10am and leave no later than 11am to accommodate Lineage opening for regular business.
Hosted by Cranksgiving Columbus, The Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center, and Lineage Brewing.
