Columbus Stand Up! and Southern Roots Sistah Center have joined forces to host a facilitated conversation with Dr. Pat Lyons about mental wellness and coping to commemorate MLK Day

Columbus Stand Up! And Southern Roots Sistah Center Hosts ‘Meditation on Martin Luther King Day’. Amidst so much going on in Columbus and our country, from the pandemic to racial unrest, this event will be a conversation within the community facilitated by Dr. Pat Lyons about mental wellness and coping. The event will be outdoors, adhere to social distancing protocols, and participants will be provided free hot cocoa to keep warm throughout.

Columbus Stand Up! is a non-profit dedicated to mobilizing people in Central Ohio to serve the community, engage in the political process, hold elected officials accountable, and advocate for policies that will ensure everyone in our community can lead a stable life. 
Southern Roots Sistah Center, a nonprofit organization, was established in 2018 by Zuberi Yara, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. The center offers numerous services and programs to uplift and support African American and Women of color in today’s society.
Dr. Pat Lyons runs Lyons Counseling & Consultation Services, providing individual counseling and consulting to healthcare organizations, government agencies, and community-based non-profits. She is also sought out as a Subject Matter Expert in discussions around the use of anti-racist language, the impact of racism, and its social determinants.
