Saturday, April 17, 7-8:30pm, this event will be occurring via Zoom

Please join us for a very special opening event — via Zoom and on “Facebook Live” — for the public launch of the brand new 360° virtual gallery tour of the Columbus Crossing Borders art exhibit.

The “More” part of the event includes:

• guest appearances and musical performances

• advocacy updates and discussions with people making notable differences in our communities

• updates about the latest work being done by CRIS (Community Refugee and Immigration Services)

• learn about the ways you can be involved

• hear about the actions being taken in a local community to combat racism in a big way

• enjoy a creative presentation by high school students addressing the refugee crisis and equality

• meet some of the refugees and artists who participated in the art exhibit and/or the “Breathe Free” film

• hear from some of the Columbus Crossing Borders partners and colleagues

• participate in a raffle with a chance to win a signed canvas print copy of the “Columbus Crossing Borders” painting by artist Dale Ziemianski. A $25 donation to The Columbus Crossing Borders fundraiser [use this link to join that event] enters you into the raffle; the winner will be announced during the event.

The Columbus Crossing Borders Project is an art exhibit and documentary film created to inspire critical thinking, compassion, and support for the millions of people who have been forced to flee their homes due to war, climate, violence, and persecution. The art exhibit contains 34 refugee-themed paintings that “cross borders” and connect with one another. The documentary film provides a visual journey of this art exhibit alongside first-person accounts shared by refugees who have made the United States their home. Both the exhibit and the film have touched the hearts of thousands while being seen in galleries, schools, community centers, and theatres across the United States.

The Columbus Crossing Borders Project is grateful to work in partnership with the Community Refugee and Immigration Services [CRIS] of Columbus, Ohio.
